Today, I’d like to share with you a recent interview I had with Charlene when I got to ask her
some questions on tips to increase our light, deeksha and grace. I hope you enjoy it.

Krystalya Marie’: Can you share a few tips on what we can do to help ourselves get through “A Dark Night of the Soul” period in our lives?

Charlene M. Proctor: When we bring more light into the body, there is a corresponding emotional and biological reaction. Old barriers, physical blocks, and emotional patterns come to the surface in order to be released. The dark night of the soul represents a cleansing of the personal unconscious in preparation for a deeper descent of light, and is usually considered as a prerequisite for the deeper stages of spiritual mastery.

Jesus experienced this dark night of the soul prior to his public mission as he ‘wrestled with Satan’ in the wilderness. Buddha also experienced this during his process of enlightenment as he fought the ‘temptations of Mara’. It is only frightening as long as we are afraid to die. Once we realize that there is no ‘self’ left to die, a new dawn can begin. If we choose to enter and experience our own dark night we must be willing to deeply examine our past and all aspects of from an emotional level, and then accept our humanity and practice forgiveness. Then, release the past and move forward to be part of the human community.

You can also reimagine your own divinity and know, collectively and individually, you are God also. You are not separate from the divine. Knowing your true self is to know the power and potential within you. By being aligned with this energy and idea, you can certainly do all the works the greatest masters have done. This was a consistent message from Jesus who reminded us to identify with The I AM. “From me, All (The I AM) came forth, and through me, all is attained,” he said. Light is everywhere and so are we. “Split a piece of wood, I am there, lift up a stone, and you will find me there.” The ALL refers to being itself, in other words, being a light-being, and does not refer to knowing him as a person or through any religion. Light always overcomes darkness, so just remember who you truly are on a regular basis.

Krystalya Marie’: What is “deeksha” and what is it like to receive “deeksha” from a spiritual
master?

Charlene M. Proctor: The oneness blessing is the transfer of intelligent, sacred energy which initiates a journey into a higher state of conscious awareness. It brings an experience of oneness with all of creation and with the Divine Presence. This phenomenon is an interfaith gift meant to shift our perception that the sense of the separate self is an illusion. Anyone can receive the blessing no matter what their wisdom tradition or religion. This unique blessing initiates a neurobiological change in the brain, helping to free the senses from the constant chatter of the mind. Over time, most people experience mental clarity and are open to more love, joy, and peace in all areas of their lives.

Deeksha is a hands-on transfer of power, normally through the top of the head. Areas of the frontal lobes are activated, while other parts of the parietal lobe get deactivated. You are calming down a person’s “mind chatter” and inviting a more peaceful feeling. It changes a person’s perception of reality, and many report better sleep, calmness, and peace of mind. Many are more receptive to their intuition.

Receiving deeksha from a spiritual master, or one who is awakened into higher states of consciousness feels like you are being scrubbed clean. It is an experience of being loved unconditionally, in a state of total bliss. You feel fully present with no negative emotions or worries. It is a state of innocence, freedom, and non-judgment.

Different sadhanas, for example, breath awareness, meditation, or prayer, are ways to commune with God, but the oneness blessing is an immersion in the presence of God. It helps facilitate a spiritual awakening. Many believe enlightenment is a neurobiological event and happens through grace, or the holy presence. It is also the ability to disengage from old emotions, traumas, habits, assumptions, conditioning, and the masks one has constructed in order to survive. Enlightenment is high level of awareness, which is not necessarily a mystical state, but simply a state of experiencing reality as it is, without the limiting filters and conditioning of the human mind. Many westerners are currently seeking this experience.

Krystalya Marie’: You say “Grace is a Vital Part of Our Lives”, can you please explain why
that that is and what Grace can do to enhance our lives?

Charlene M. Proctor: Grace is the holy presence. It is an experience. Allow it to be a primary connection to your Source. This is the place you know you are taken care of, when life has meaning. A lack of trust means you do not know grace. It shifts your perception of life.

Love is the foundation of grace and the activity of the Divine. It is Divine Love helping you and healing you. It is like a mother who offers comfort and warmth, who folds you into her lap. There is no effort required on our behalf, and we should offer no resistance. It is free, on the

house, available to everyone. It is an energy that is always there but we often don’t recognize it. When we change our perceptions on grace, and allow it to enter our experience, there is progress in the form of personal transformation and healing – a move forward in all areas. There is a re-ordering taking place. There is peace. It is not a concept or an idea, but the holy presence. All you have to do is ask God for grace. It is that simple.

When we fall from grace, it does not mean we are sinners. It means we have forgotten our connection with the Divine Presence! When you ‘come back into grace’ it doesn’t mean we have chosen the right religion nor done something amazing to impress God. It means we have remembered who we are as beings of light here on the plant. We have simply remembered our connection.

Krystalya Marie’: Why is it important that we cut the Cords with Past Issues and How Do we go about doing so?

Gaetano Vivo: Cord cutting is very important to living a beautiful life these days. We need to cut the umbilical cord with our parents and with people we have interacted with in our past.  It’s a good thing to cut the umbilical cord from our parents because it allows us to live independently and alongside them rather than being bound to them.

We call on Archangel Michael to help us cut the cords.  It’s important to be able to cut them because we don’t want to have cords that are hanging from other people.  Some people have cords that are like bamboo while other peoples are finer but we still need to cut them completely as they are interrupting our aura from vibrating.  Cutting the cords helps our aura to be bright and colourful again instead of being completely filled with holes – which we do not need.

Krystalya Marie’: What does it take to Heal Your Inner Child, and why it is important to do so?

Gaetano Vivo: To heal our inner child we need to call on Archangel Raphael.  He is the archangel of the heart chakra so he is also represented by an emerald green light.  He brings light into your heart – making it brighter and more luminous. Then we find this beautiful little angel, who is abandoned, refused and rejected – this is our inner child.  Once we start to look after him and nurture him we start to experience love again, basically love for ourselves which is the most important thing.  Once we have healed our inner child we can heal ourselves and move forward in our lives.  If we come back to double check on him during the day it will help us to express ourselves in a better, more spiritual way.

Krystalya Marie’: What is Higher Dimensional Healing and how is it done?

Gaetano Vivo: Higher dimensional healing is simply healing – it’s not a specific thing.  It’s healing being done from the Source – I would call it the Universe.  It’s important to tap into the Universe and bring its energy down to help heal.  I don’t actually like to call myself a healer, the only healer really is God.  Higher dimensional healing is very important because you tap into the Source.  The Angels have given me this beautiful symbol called Xantia that I work with – I have developed the Xantia Healing Programme that taps into Xantia’s energy when I am working on someone.  Everyone has their own symbol these days so they can tap into it and bring healing down from other dimensions.

Krystalya Marie’: What different forms of Spiritual Practice do you find helpful for most women you work with and why?

Mal Duane: I love meditation for centering and discovering out true voice. I utilize prayer or reading spiritual material for enhancing my awareness to my divine guidance. I think when we plant the right seed in the garden; we get the blossoms we are looking for. Thirdly, I recommend journaling. It is amazing when we write things on paper, the truth flows. Releasing the truth about how we feel or what we want to attract into our lives liberates our consciousness to go to work on our behalf. All three ultimately bring us to the same place of identifying who we really are and releasing our limited beliefs.

Krystalya Marie’: How important is Self-Love to becoming an Alpha Chick and why?

Mal Duane: Self-love/self-esteem is the root for personal transformation. Everything in life is tied to how we think about ourselves. Nothing is more important for women than to work on their self-love. When we truly embrace who we are, we become better partners in all the other relationships we build in life. You have to have something in order to give it away. This includes love. Once we learn to love ourselves every other aspect of our being changes. Our health, our attitude and our appreciation come into alignment with self-love. Unfortunately there are so many forms of media that work against us with false imagery of success and fulfillment. All that we need to transform ourselves will come from within.

Krystalya Marie’: What are the top 5 things a woman needs to do to “Discover and Maintain Their Own Personal Power”?

Mal Duane: I think by using the five steps of F-A-I-T-H women are able to recognize their connection to a higher consciousness, identify their negative behaviors and thoughts as well as set new intentions for positive actions steps. When women really embrace their power they need to start giving away their knowledge to those in need. The five steps are:

Focus: Go within through a spiritual practice of meditation or prayer to connect with the divine guidance within

Acceptance and Attitude: When you accept your past mistakes and suffering, you free yourself from the bondage of a personal history that no longer has any bearing on who you are. As you leave the past your attitude starts to change about your present.

Identification and Intention: You identify your negative behaviors that block your potential and set new intentions for positive action. When you consciously evaluate where you need to make changes, you create a plan for positive transformation.

Thoughts: Your mind can only hold one thought at a time, so why not make it a good one. Our thoughts are magnets for what we want to attract in our lives. It is imperative to pay attention to what you think about.

Healing and Helping: Once you restore yourself to the divine being you are meant to be, experiencing self-love and joy daily in your life, you need to seek out others that are suffering and share your strength and knowledge with them. To keep your power, you must give it away.

First and foremost I want to say there is hope with both conditions and of course as I’m sure you are already aware they are both highly interrelated. The advice I’m about to provide you with should be done only in conjunction with your medical doctor’s support and recommendations.

In my opinion you will want to resolve the hypothyroidism and then work on the excess weight issue once you have resolved the problem with your thyroid.  Hypothyroidism typically causes most people to put on weight and to have lower energy. Once you have balanced out the thyroid, have your energy back, and your weight has stabilized you will want to work on the weight issue if it still exists.

Hypothyroidism means that your body is not producing enough thyroid hormones and in some cases it may mean that you are deficient in iodine.  You will want to have the appropriate tests performed by your doctor to determine whether your hypothyroidism is actually Hashimoto’s, which is an autoimmune thyroid disease or not.  Hashimoto’s can actually be improved by eliminating iodine from the diet .   I recommend that you consult with a physician to determine which form of hypothyroidism you may have.

At the age of 18 I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and for the next 30+ years I took a thyroid hormone supplement.  In the mid nineties I started changing much of what I was doing to a more natural holistic approach, and when I wanted to come off of my thyroid medication I was told that I could not be taken off of the medication and that I would have to take it for the remainder of my life.

In 2002 after receiving healing images for several ailments I asked for a healing symbol for my thyroid and made a decision to do the work I am suggesting that you consider doing in order to take myself off of my thyroid medication.  My doctor advised me against doing so but finally agreed to allow me to do so under her supervision and with the appropriate testing.  With my doctors blessing I have not needed to take thyroid medication since that time. Previously if I missed even one or two doses of the medication I became lethargic, while today most people comment about me being an “Energy Bunny”.

You see, I believe that all physical ailments have a root cause that should be addressed and hypothyroidism is no exception.  I’ve found, as have many others, that when we address the underlying cause of the disease the body innately heals itself. These root causes come in two forms. First the energy flow within the body, known as the chakra system and secondly the underlying emotional issue that caused you to shutdown the energy flow within the body.

In the case of hypothyroidism, the thyroid resides in the throat chakra area of the body and so therefore I would first recommend that you work on getting the energy flowing within that area of the body.  There are many techniques for opening and balancing the energy centers within the body.  In my case I have the gift of drawing images (healing symbols) that heal the body, including images specifically for working with the chakra system as well as specific health issues.  These symbols typically work within seconds to open the flow of energy within the body.  To access a copy of my newsletter which provides samples of some of the symbols, including the throat chakra symbol you can register by entering your name and primary eMail address in the box on the upper right side of this page.

Opening the throat chakra is only the first step in resolving the problem in that the energy will become blocked again if the underlying cause of the blockage is not resolved.  To discover the underlying cause you will want to consider the following as possibilities. My recommendation is to listen intuitively by paying close attention to how your body feels as you read and consider each of the following possibilities.  If you feel a tightness when reading one or more of these ideas, that may be your intuition providing you with feedback indicating your underlying cause to the problem.

In the case of hypothyroidism there is typically a feeling of giving up, feeling hopeless or stifled in some way.  There may be other underlying emotional causes such as feelings of being humiliated or never being able to do what you want to do, but instead always giving way to everyone else’s needs.  Do you find that you constantly put your own needs last?

You may also find that you avoid responsibilities by fleeing into idealized thoughts and dreams typically because you find life to be burdensome. Are you looking for refuge somewhere else?  Have you stopped participating in life?
Identifying and acknowledging the root cause of the problem is a big step in moving yourself forward in the healing process.  You will then want to do the emotional healing work necessary to release these issues and change your beliefs about yourself.

For the most part these feelings, emotions and beliefs became a part of us due to a variety of repeated issues that happened when we were small children at which time we decided based on our perspective what they meant.  You will need to recognize those beliefs and begin to change them.  This can be done through the use of various tools for releasing the emotional feelings and through the use of affirmations to change your core beliefs.

A few of the affirmations that you will want to consider are as follows.  Keep in mind though that an affirmation that does not directly target the underlying core belief will not get the result you are looking for.  It is important that your affirmations work to bring your beliefs forward from the current underlying belief.  An attempt to change your belief directly to what you want the new belief to be may not work.  For this reason I recommend that you bridge the beliefs in stages.
